Who we are...Pratt City Disaster Relief Center came into being on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 when Pastor Tommy Lewis requested of Mayor William Bell the use of Scott School to provide relief services to the residents of the Pratt City community following the devastating tornado that ravaged this area on Wednesday, April 27th. On Thursday night resident leaders and volunteers from Bethel Baptist Church started the school cleanup effort and began organizing the classrooms to receive donations. Early Friday morning the center became operational when people flooded into the center bringing donations of food, clothing and toiletries, and offering to assist in whatever way possible.
